ob appointment week 12

This appointment was much shorter than I expected, that’s because I just had baby Emma 9 months ago so they had all my info already.  TOO Funny; so my due date has changed back to the original date January 17th, Dr. Fiona McConville my OB she is awesome and I loved seeing her during my pregnancy with Emma.  We checked my weight, I weighed in at 196lbs and the baby’s heart rate is beating at 154 beats per minute.  Till next month.

what a scare

Today when I woke up I went to go pee and as I was wiping I found that my urine was a bright red.  SCAREY!!  I pondered a little and thought I know this can be normal, BUT! we all know me... I thought, thought and thought some more and I just couldn’t take the thinking so I had to be sure.  I packed up Emma and drove myself to the ER.  We got there are 7am checked in,  had some blood work done, the DR came immediately ordered a ultra sound, so 5 hours later yes at noon the DR came back to see me to give me the good news.. Everything is Normal MS. Rocha.

He Says;
Your 13 weeks 1 day,
The anterior placenta and amniotic fluid volume is normal
The fetal heart rate is at 124 beats per minute
There us no active bleeding site identified

GO HOME AND REST.

OMG woo; wow so I grabbed Emma and came home to rest, below is a pics of today’s ultra sound, everything is looking good and normal.

4th time around

Being pregnant the 4th time around has been no walk in the park. And honestly this pregnancy, in terms of nausea and vomiting and what not, has not been as bad as the last two were. With Joshua and Jace I was much more sick, gaggy, and throwing up.  With Emma, I never really had morning sickness, but just feelings of being sick but never really happened.   This time around there has certainly been a lot of nausea, and feeling like I need to puke.  But more than anything, just trying to deal with the nausea and the exhaustion (OOOoooooohhhhh the EXHAUSTION!), all while keeping up with 2 VERY active boys and 1 still pretty young baby....well, let's just say it has been a humbling experience.

But Joshua and Jace have been good to me.

So onto more fun details....just this week I spilled the news to my sister, my friend Pat and the kids.  Josh`s response, I can handle another Emma just not another Jace.  Jace on the other hand; he loves babies so he was thrilled.

Baby #4 is due to arrive on (or around) January 21st    so that puts me just shy of 12 weeks right now. So far baby has been checking out with flying colors. The pictures below are from an ultrasound I had today that was partly of genetic screening they offered. The baby looks healthy as can be and is growing right on track.  Nothing more relieving than knowing your baby is well.

I have to admit that I am feeling pretty strongly that "baby" is indeed a "he". Don't get me wrong...my jaw will not drop and I will not pass out if another bouncing baby girl is on its way to joining our family.  We will know by the end of August, I am excited and anxious to know who this baby is. And either way, boy or girl, I know I will be thrilled and I know it will feel right because I firmly believe that the child meant for our family is the child we will receive. And with that knowledge how could I ever feel bad :)

We love you little baby! I just KNOW you are going to be a key piece in our family!

morning sickness

Today marks 11 weeks 6 days.  I had terrible morning sickness this morning while brushing my teeth.  Matthew says it’s because I stick the tooth brush down my throat.  PLEASE!!  Does he even know what morning sickness is?  I slept okay last night, but when I woke up I started to feel a little nausea so I knew the morning sickness was going to kick in.  Being pregnant for the fourth time I should know the trick is to eat before I get sick.  As you know sometimes that is hard with kids.   I had to feed Emma, get Jace ready for his first day of summer camp, so for me all I did was grab a muffin on my way out.  I know I should eat but it’s hard sometimes.  I end it here, till next time.
