I cannot even
believe that my niece, Baylee Hope, is six years old today. I am so
excited to see you grow from the tiny baby I saw on the day you were born into
a lovely young woman.

my pregnancy: 8 weeks
8 weeks: my baby is the size of a kidney bean
My baby -- now comparable to the size of a kidney bean (just over 1/2 inch long) -- is constantly moving and shifting.

first ultrasound at 7wks 4days
I had one done today at 7 weeks 4 days, that’s what the ultra sound tech told me, according to me I am 7 weeks, but they count the days. What did I see; I saw the yolk sac, a little bean-shaped baby, and a definite heart beating away. I was told that the heart rate was 156, not sure what that means, but I am going to assume good. The tech measured the baby and yolk sac to make sure everything is sized right for the gestational age. I will follow up with the DR on Thursday for my EED and results.
