During Breakfast this morning with aunt Heddy and Jenna, Emma has been jibber-jabbing something all morning.  It was the same thing over and over.

“blah, blah, ahh, ahhh, as Aunt Heddy would say it`s milk talk.  Something, something, something.

It’s cute but it is getting a bit annoying…

I just about said, “You sound like a broken record.”  Until I realized that she wouldn’t have the faintest idea what that meant. Then I thought, “…like a scratched CD”, but quickly nixed that for being before her time too.

“…like an .mp3 stuck on repeat?”

Sigh.

First Play Date

Today we went on our first play date at BEANS & BABES CAFÉ, it was a great place for Emma and me to get out.  This café was a great place for me to relax and chat with other moms, Emma had a chance to interact with other babies her age.  It was great to see the little ones interact.  Before we knew it was time to go home.  We, as in Emma and me look forward to continue and go on more play dates.

 Yesterday January 18 daddy and I went and got your ear pierced, I want to tell you that daddy was reluctant because he didn’t want you be hurt, I told him that you`ll probably cry for all of 30 seconds and I was right.  Daddy asked me why do we have to do it so early.  I simply say because although you will feel some pain, its pain that is temporary and one that you will soon forgot.  I figured that it would be worse doing so when you are a little older and of course there is the risk of you pulling and tagging on your ears, this way being 3 months you have no idea what’s going on.  BTW; Emma you look adorable.

I forgot becoming a parent meant…

• Eating dinner like I was trying to break a world record for the most pasta swallowed in the shortest amount of time.  Standing up.

• Letting Matthew choose between poop and sleep habits as topics of conversation.

• Figuring out how to pee without putting Emma down.

• Wearing a bra that looks like something from a 1930`s catalog

• Spending an hour getting Emma to sleep and then waking her up every two minutes later to make sure she is still breathing.

Forgetting what who I am...

let the packing the begin

moving into a new house is stressful enough, so imagine doing it with a newborn.  In an exactly one month we move into our new home.  I will start packing from top to bottom and we will live out of boxes for the next 30 days, thank goodness that most of our stuff in still in boxes from the last move, so this one should be easy.  Well maybe not.  Keep you in the loop

At this stage Emma your discovering how much fun your own hands can be.  You suck your fingers and use them to grasp on your toys, your passing objects back and forth to inspect them from all sides.  Dr. Ling (she is your pediatrician) agrees that it's never too early to start reading to you.  She says not only does it help you start to get familiar with patterns of language, it`s gonna provide a great opportunity for cuddling and bonding.  Emma, she doesn't know that you and I cuddle, bond and play all day.  I make you smile and laugh all day long, I kiss your neck (which you love).

I began writing you when you were just a few days old.  I hope one day you and I can go back and read them all together.  So now I`v decided to make this blog, I will attach pictures, videos and lots of thoughts, crazy thoughts.  I am going to tell you how much I love you, and tell you all about daddy, Joshua and Jace.  I don’t know what the internet is going to look like when your about 15/16 years old but I will print these and print photos for you to have and for us to read.  I will try not to write to often because I don’t want you to have info overload, but Emma listen I am off work for a year.  Need I say more?  I will document the important moments, the special moments.  You’re going to have a lot of reading to do…

Happy 3 Months Emma

I can't believe Emma is already 3 months. Time really does fly by when you’re having fun! 3 months ago today this little girl came into our lives and has made every day better ever since.  We both just cannot believe how fast she is growing and how much more in love we are with her every day.  She's smiling, laughing, grasping toys, loves to feast on both her hands, makes great eye contact, even believes she can carry a conversation, I love it all.  Happy three months, Emma. I feel so grateful to have you in our lives and so incredibly lucky to be your mama.

Fancy Face your two months old today, you are doing extremely great! We are so proud of you! You steadily hold up your head, you smile at us when we talk to you; you have lots of storeys to tell us with your baby coos.  You’re a GREAT baby; I can’t imagine how a baby can be easier.  We love you FANCY FACE.

I can’t believe that my fancy face is one month old.  Emma you surprised us at what a wonderful, easy-going, precious princess you are.   Right now, your life is simple.  You’re either eating, messing up diapers, sleeping, or awake and just checking out the world around you with your big, brown eyes.  You have spent the first month of your life making sure that we have lots to fall in love with.  And I/we have fallen...HARD.

Joshua and Jace are is enjoying having a little sister around too.  When you cry, Jace is first to inform me THE BABY IS CRYING MAMA!  Joshua runs to you to pick you up and sooth you, you have stolen each of our hearts, we love you Emma.  We have an incredible first month, looking forward to what you bring us daily from here on in… I/We love you Emma.

Happy Halloween Emma

Happy 3 Week Birthday!

Today Emma you are 3 weeks old! I honestly can't believe how fast time is flying by. I feel like we just went to the hospital yesterday and we just brought you home. I guess it flies by during this time because we are giving you our 100% attention. For the past few weeks we have done basically nothing but take care of you. And I wouldn't have it any other way right now.  -I already love you more than I ever thought I could. It's amazing how much love you can have for one person in such a short amount of time. Until you have a child you can't really truly understand what love is.

Emma you already have a ton of nicknames: mamas, peanut, Baby, Sweetie, Sister, Sweetness...we are so weird, but loving you every day more and more.

Two weeks ago today we welcomed you Emma Veronica into the world.  What an amazing day it was and what an awesome two weeks it has been.   We are so thankful that you have joined our family.  We had our two week appointment with the doctor on Friday, and everything went great. You are now 8 pounds 11 ounces, over your birth weight.  The Dr. is was also impressed with how alert you are and how your already trying to hold up your own head.

Baby Girl,  I cannot believe you are already one whole week old. You are such a peanut.... a much loved peanut. Daddy & I love you so much! Your big brothers love to look at you.  I think they are anxious for you to get bigger so that you 3 can play together and get into trouble with one another :) You have made our family complete. You are such a great baby. You eat like a champ, my little porker.  You are our petite little lover girl. Daddy & I love showing you off.  I catch myself smothering you in kisses, and staring at you all day, watching you when you sleep.  It is so neat to see the differences between you, Joshua and Jace.  I feel so blessed to have two boys and one girl.  Happy 1 week birthday, sweet pea. It is hard to believe that only 1 week ago, we were just meeting for the 1st time. I will never forget that moment when I saw you - pure joy. You make Daddy, Joshua, Jace and me so happy. I love you, we love you.

♥ ♥ it’s a GIRL ♥ ♥ we can’t believe she’s finally here, our love, our sweetheart, our little dear.  Emma Veronica born on Monday October 10 at 5:13a.m., weighing 7 lbs, 12ounces and measuring 19 inches long.  Emma and Mommy are doing excellent, and we couldn't be happier

a little bit about me

I am me.  In the entire world, there is no one else exactly like me. I can list of over a hundred random facts about me but that would take too long, so instead I will give just a little.   I am Jennifer, mom of 3, I work full time outside the home, I would stay home with my kids if I could, but considering that they would DRIVE ME NUTS, this is not an option for me. ``so random`` I am just kidding I have two wonderful boys Joshua 15, Jace 9 and a little princess Emma 3 months.   Although life in my house is very hectic I enjoy being mom..  I will write in my blog when I get the chance or have something interesting to say or just feel like being random. Guess that`s it for now.

 A couple of months before I started typing up my thoughts, things I wanted to say, my views, my random thoughts exactly so here goes.  As what you`ll find on this site?  Who knows.  Could be long rambling entries, could be reviews of movies or TV shows, comments on albums, rants about things and people I don’t like.  Could be short, one line entries, or maybe just a photo.  Whatever this blog ends up being I hope you will participate.  Not just so I'll know people are reading, but also so this can actually be a fun site that people enjoy coming back to.
